In August new lease agreements were signed for retail space in Galeria Katowicka development. The new tenants are: Swedish clothing chain KappAhl (999 sq.m), Polish footwear chain CCC (428 sq.m) and perfumery chain Douglas (397 sq.m).

Cushman & Wakefield, a global commercial real estate advisory firm, is an exclusive agent for the commercialisation of the centre.

Galeria Katowicka is a retail and services scheme located in the Katowice city core, at Szewczyka square. It forms a part of the development which will also comprise a railway station and an office building. The facility will have 3 above-ground floors, totalling 52,000 sq.m. In addition it will feature two-storey underground car park for 1,200 cars.

The investment is being realised in phases. The construction of the first phase in Q2 2012 will complete the railway station building. The opening of the retail gallery is scheduled for the beginning of Q4 2012. The investor and developer of the shopping gallery is a Spanish company Neinver sp. z o.o.
