Soprema's first plant in Poland
Cushman & Wakefield, an international real estate consultancy firm, has acted as an agent in the transaction of the sale of 8ha land in Błonie near Warsaw to Soprema ? a manufacturer of roofing and waterproofing products in building and civil engineering.The first in Poland and 15th in the world modern plant of Soprema Group is being built on the purchased plot. A production hall and administrative and warehouse facilities of a total area of 7,200 sq.m are to be built by the end of 2010. The value of the investment is estimated at EUR 15m. The project is supported by the authorities of Błonie City Hall and Ożarów commune. The investment will create 50 new workplaces.
Soprema distributes its products in over 80 countries across the world. It operates 14 modern plants in Europe, North America and Middle East. It employs over 3,800 employees. It has operated on the Polish market since 1996.
Tomasz Olszewski, Partner, Head of Industrial Department of Cushman & Wakefield, said: ?The recession has forced many investors to put off their land purchase decisions. Now a growing number think it is time to return to the market and restart negotiations. The growth of interest in land investment market in Poland results from the increased activity of tenants and companies purchasing properties for their own occupation.?
