Cushman & Wakefield, the global commercial property consultant, acted as an agent in the sale of the Epedal Plant in Gliwice, which was acquired by the Austrian company Fronius.

Epedal Plant is a standalone building with 1,600 sq.m of warehouse and production space and 800 sq.m of office space, including staff facilities, previously owned by Epedal Polska Sp. z o.o. with Portuguese shareholding. It is located on a 5,400 sq.m plot at 8 Gustawa Eiffla Street in the Gliwice Subzone of the Katowice Special Economic Zone.

Epedal Polska Sp. z o.o. is a branch of the Portuguese company Epedal, manufacturing metal parts for trucks, cars, motorcycles and trains, as well as parts for aviation and renewable energy industries. It specializes in manufacturing chassis and car body components for automotive companies such as Volkswagen, Peugeot, Yamaha, Mitsubishi and Renault. Epedal was established in 1981 and entered the Polish market in 2007 although its main area of operation is Western Europe.

The manufacturing plant in Gliwice was acquired by the Austrian company Fronius with over 60 years of existence. Fronius enjoys a strong position among companies from the automotive, engineering and power industries, and operates in three market segments: welding technology, battery charging systems and Solar electronics. It is a leading manufacturer of welding equipment and specializes in automation and robotization of welding processes. Fronius also provides consultancy, implementation and maintenance services for entire manufacturing lines. With over 400 innovative patents, it is the leader and trend-setter in welding technology.
