New tenant in Tulipan Park OstrawaSEGRO ( 2010-03-24 )
Erwin Quarder is an innovative, medium sized company founded in 1971 and specializing in the development and production of injection moulded components and in the automation of the whole injection moulding process. The company headquartered in Germany was established in Czech Republic in 2004. Currently Erwin Quarder owns two production plants in Ostrava and in Michigan, USA.
Mr. Bernhard Schäfer, the Erwin Quarder Company Director in Czech Republic comments: The major factor in deciding on our possible place for the further expansion was a good location of our potential domicile. That is why we decided to lease the space in Ostrava – it is not only a very important regional city, but also the most strategic point of the whole area. This aspect combined with the high quality of the warehouse space convinced us to choose Tulipan Park Ostrava. Thanks to SEGRO we are able to benefit from an ideally suited existing infrastructure located in the heart of the Moravian region.
So far, the contract concluded with Erwin Quarder is the biggest lease agreement signed for Tulipan Park Ostrava. We are very pleased to welcome this company as one of our tenants – states Josef Husak, SEGRO’s Regional Manager in Czech Republic. Tulipan Park Ostrava is being developed on a 4 hectare site located in Přívoz district. It is a two-phase project that upon the final completion will provide 20,000 sq m of modern warehouse and light industrial space. The 1st Phase of the scheme, totalling 11,000 sq m is located in 2 separate buildings. Additionally, Tulipan Park Ostrava provides excellent transport connections. Since it is located near the city centre and directly at the the D1 motorway (the main route for Moravian region) it will enable a great link between Prague, Brno and Poland.

In Czech Republic SEGRO started its activity at the beginning of 2006. The developer is running investments under the brand name Tulipan Park situated in Prague and Ostrava.
