Panattoni Europe, leading industrial space developer in Poland, is kicking off the construction of the first facility in Panattoni Park Gdańsk, covering an area of 7,600 m2. The first tenants of the investments are: a national chain of ABRA S.A. furniture shops and Pika Sp. z o.o.

The investment was kicked off at the turn of May and June 2010, while completion is foreseen for Q4 2010. The tenants of the investments will be existing Panattoni clients. ABRA S.A. will lease 2,700 m2, which together with leased space in Panattoni Park Stryków accounts for 6,000 m2 of warehouse space in the developer’s parks. Pika Sp. z o.o. is one of the largest and most modern companies rendering soft- and hardcopy document management services. In the Pomeranian park it will lease 1,800 m2 and almost 3,700 m2 in other Panattoni Europe parks. Panattoni Park Gdańsk will consist of 3 facilities covering 43,400 m2, which will account for 1/3 of existing warehouse space in the region. „The Triple City area is a relatively young warehouse market, while Gdańsk, where our park is located, is the largest harbor city and one of the biggest economic centers in Poland. The new Panattoni Park Gdańsk, whose location guarantees the rendition of fluent services to the Triple City market, is dedicated for companies based in Pomerania” - said Bartłomiej Krawiecki, Managing Partner for Eastern Poland at Panattoni Europe. „Since we are systematically opening new ABRA shops, we decided to modernize our warehouse base, which is dictated by the need to continuously upgrade processes and increase productivity. Naturally, the ultimate goal is to ensure ever higher customer service. Based on our positive experience in terms of leasing space in Panattoni Park Stryków we decided to extend our cooperation with Panattoni” – added Marek Zelek, Logistics Manager at ABRA S.A.

Some of the space will be earmarked for modern office services for soft- and hardcopy documentation. Panattoni Park Gdańsk is one of the best located distribution parks in Pomerania. It is situated in close vicinity to the Major Henryk Sucharski route, constituting the last stretch of the European E75, E77 and 500 routes, stretching from the Gdańsk harbor to the southern ring-road and A1 motorway. It is located only 500 meters away from the planned „Błonie” communication node . The park is situated nearby the harbor and new container deep-water container terminal. The logistics center is ideal for rendering services to the international nautical transport segment.
