ProLogis leases 5900 sqm to Textile MarketProLogis ( 2010-06-15 )

ProLogis, a leading global provider of distribution facilities, announced today that it has leased 5,900 square meters of warehouse space at ProLogis Park Bratislava to Textile House for Euro Trade, one of the major European clothes suppliers. With this transaction ProLogis Park Bratislava is 93 per cent leased.

Textile House will occupy 5,900 square meters of distribution space in Building Two at ProLogis Park Bratislava, a state-of-the-art logistics park in one of Slovakia’s largest industrial zones. Textile House has supplied second-hand clothes to its own 17 shops in Slovakia as well as wholesale partners across Europe, Africa and India since 1996. The company’s started with two wholesales in Bratislava and Košice; it has now expanded to supply clothes to retail outlets across Central Europe, Africa, India and other countries.

“We sorted and sold 700 tonnes of clothes in 2000, and last year this figure rose to 4,000 tonnes, which is a significant rise within a decade,” says Jane Nielsen, Executive of Textile House for Euro Trade. ”We are currently accommodating for further growth by planning the expansion of our distribution networks. Thus, we require warehouse space of the highest quality, in strategic locations and that is suiltable for our garment sorting tasks. ProLogis, with its modern and flexible distribution facilities, led us to ProLogis Park Bratislava, which suits these requirements perfectly.“
