ProLogis, a leading global provider of distribution facilities, announced today that it has leased more than 5,400 square meters of warehouse space at ProLogis Park Sochaczew to DHL Exel Supply Chain, a global leader in international express services and logistics. At the same time, DHL has extended lease agreements for over 16,000 square metres of warehouse space at the same distribution park.

DHL is a member of the world’s largest logistic group, Deutsche Post, a global network connecting more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. With the latest transaction, Deutsche Post is ProLogis‘ largest global customer and leases more than 892,000 square metres of space at 67 ProLogis distribution parks in Europe and North America.

“It is not an easy job to win a new customer nowadays,“ said Wojciech Kosiór, leasing manager Poland. „To work with a customer to extend a lease is even more difficult. But, to retain a client and expand the scope of an existing relationship is a great success. DHL is our global customer and we are proud that ProLogis warehouses located in Poland, and so close to Warsaw, have become important sites in DHL's international logistics network.”

Currently, ProLogis Park Sochaczew comprises six buildings totaling more than 100,000 square meters. The park is located in eastern Sochaczew, near the national road E30 (Warsaw–Berlin) and about 50 kilometres west of the centre of Warsaw. It has a direct connection with the national road No 50 (route from Germany towards Lithuania) and its own railway siding connected to the international rail route (Berlin–Moscow).

Additional customers at ProLogis Park Sochaczew include Procter & Gamble, DHL, Gepol, Euro Freight Logistics and Pilkington Automotive.
