Kaufland, one of the German largest retailers, has leased 24,500 sq m at SEGRO?s Tulipan Park Gliwice. It is one of the biggest lease transactions signed on the Polish warehouse market in 2010. The leased space comprises of modern warehouse, office and cold storage facilities. It will serve Kaufland as their new distribution centre for Southern Poland.

The agreement signed with Kaufland is one of SEGRO?s flagship transactions in Central Europe. With this deal, the business space provided by the developer in Tulipan Park Gliwice is now fully let.

Kaufland is the fifth largest European trade enterprise in the food industry. The chain operates over 850 stores located in 7 countries including Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and Croatia. In Poland, Kaufland started its activity in 2001. It currently operates more than 130 stores across the whole country. The company?s broad food offer is complimented by textiles, stationery, toys, household appliances as well as a wide range of high quality regional and seasonal products.

Tulipan Park Gliwice is located on an area of 48 hectare site situated adjacent to the A4 motorway, 15 km from the junction of the A1 and A4 motorways. Due to the excellent location in close proximity to Gliwice Special Economic Zone SEGRO?s logistic park in Gliwice is an outstanding place for providing logistic services. The Park provides up to 200,000 sq m of modern warehouse and light industrial accommodation. Units are available from 4,000 sq m and can be designed and built to suit occupiers' specific requirements. Other SEGRO?s clients within this park are such companies like: Air Container, Black&Decker, Brenntag, Decathlon, Helion and Plastic Omnium.
