Goodman has commenced construction on a 14.000 sqm warehouse at its logistics park at Kraków. This is Goodman's first speculative build in central Europe in the past 18 months and is 27% pre-let to Kraków-based company SCOT, a specialist in printing solutions. SCOT will be Goodman's first customer at Kraków Airport Logistics Centre and has committed to pre-leasing a 3.500 sqm warehouse and 508 sqm of office space. Construction is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2011.

In May, ground works began at Kraków Airport Logistics Centre, with a target lease area of 160.000 sqm. The logistics centre will comprise eight warehouses with additional office space, staff and technical areas. When fully operational about 1.000 people will be employed and it will be the largest logistics centre in Małopolska province. In keeping with Goodman's commitment to sustainability, 25% of the site will be landscaped and 700 trees will be planted around the perimeter. Goodman is also exploring innovative air conditioning options The general contractor for the project is Skalski.

Kraków Airport Logistics Centre is located just one kilometre from Kraków, the most important commercial centre in the region and four kilometres from Kraków-Balice International Airport. Easy access is also provided by the close proximity to the A4 expressway linking Kraków and Wrocław. During the first stage of the project, construction is focused on infrastructure, roads and parking lots and the first two warehouse buildings, with a total area of 34.800 sqm.
