Panattoni Europe has received an award during the prestigious CIJ Awards Ceremony in Warsaw. Panattoni Europe Tesco BTS was voted Best Warehouse/Logistics Industrial & Logistics Development of the Year 2010. The competition took place for the ninth time and was organized by one of the most renowned monthly magazines devoted to real estate development in Central & Eastern Europe - CIJ Journal.

The awarded Panattoni Europe development concerns the construction of a build-to-suit (BTS) building, dedicated to the industry leader - Tesco hypermarket chain. The investment comprises: 57 000 m2 of warehouse space, of which 13,800 m2 is cooling space, 440 parking places, 80 parking places for trailers and 36 places for trucks. It also has its own gas station and a garage with a washing station for trailers, 3 offices constituting the external parts of the building, 15% glass roofing and the capacity to employ 300 people for each three 8-hour shift. The Tesco distribution center will not only be in the center of the Silesian agglomeration, but also in the logistic heart of Europe. The facility will be situated in the vicinity of the Gliwice-Sośnica communication node, which joins two trans-European corridors, running across Europe. The node envisions international traffic movement in four directions (north, south, east and west) and domestic traffic in six (additionally north-west and south-east).  At the moment the node enables travelling to Berlin, Dresden, Lvov, Ostrava, Prague and Vienna.
